Seeking Paralegals for Our Litigation and Corporate Practices – Oakland and Sacramento offices
Olson Remcho LLP is California’s leading political, election, and government law firm. We have multiple openings for paralegals.
(1) Seeking candidate to work with and provide support to our Litigation and Advice Unit, preferably out of our Oakland Office. Must be a motivated self-starter. Tasks include factual and other research; drafting declarations and other litigation documents; fact check briefs and supporting papers; check court rules and procedures; discovery production; and assistance with finalizing, e-filing and serving briefs. Attention to detail and organization is a must. Experience preferred.
(2) Seeking candidate to work with and provide support to our Political Compliance Unit, preferably out of our Sacramento office. Duties include maintaining corporate records, preparation and filing of reports required by government agencies, coordination of federal and state tax filings, and special legal projects as needed by attorneys. Must be able to handle competing priorities and have very strong time management skills. Client contact requires discretion, judgment and professionalism. Attention to detail is very important. Experience preferred.

Job Description:
Olson Remcho, LLP seeks law clerks for summer 2024. These law clerks will assist in the election, campaign finance, government, and administrative law practice areas.
Law clerks will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on matters relating to the upcoming statewide elections. Individuals with passion, drive, and initiative will thrive in this environment.
Clerks will primarily work on research and writing assignments. Clerks may also have the opportunity to attend court hearings and client meetings. Firm attorneys from all practice groups will assign various research and writing projects to clerks, encourage clerks to make valuable contributions to the overall goal of serving client needs, and provide regular feedback and guidance.
Desired Qualifications:
Applicants must be in their second year of law school. In addition to a strong academic background and excellent research and writing skills, applicants must exhibit initiative, flexibility, and a desire to learn. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed classes in constitutional law, political law, election law, education law, or administrative law, and/or those who have demonstrated an interest in the firm’s specialties.
