Rachael Buck Rutkowski

Senior Associate

Rachael Rutkowski is a senior associate attorney at Olson Remcho. Ms. Rutkowski advises clients on the complex fields of campaign finance, lobbying registration and disclosure, elections, and nonprofit formation. Her clients include nonprofits, labor unions, state and federal political committees, private businesses and candidates.

Ms. Rutkowski also has extensive experience guiding clients through the complexities of state and local ballot measure drafting, qualification, and related elections law issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rutkowski was an associate at the San Francisco office of Perkins Coie, LLP, where her practice focused on land use entitlements, real estate transactions, and land use litigation.

In addition to advising clients, Ms. Rutkowski serves on the California Political Attorneys Association legislation committee, which engages with the Legislature and Fair Political Practices Commission regarding items that impact the regulated community.

Ms. Rutkowski attended UC College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly Hastings) (J.D., magna cum laude), where she served as Executive Development Editor of the Hastings Law Journal, was a teaching assistant for Legal Writing & Research and Constitutional Law I, and was President of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice.  Prior to law school. During law school, Ms. Rutkowski interned at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California.

Prior to law school, Ms. Rutkowski interned for a political consulting company in Washington, D.C. and was a Running Start Fellow in the office of Congresswoman Karen Bass.

Ms. Rutkowski was named a “Southern California Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters in 2026.
