Karla Young is an associate attorney at Olson Remcho, LLP. Ms. Young advises clients on compliance with campaign finance law, lobbying registration and disclosure, and elections. Ms. Young also advises clients on political and government law matters.
During law school, Ms. Young clerked for the Honorable Judge Fernando M. Olguin of the United States Central District Court, the Los Angeles County Public Defenders’ Office, and the Los Angeles County Counsel Labor & Employment Division. She participated in Pepperdine’s Community Justice Clinic providing legal services to nonprofits and the Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic providing legal support to unhoused folks at the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission. She also was President of the National Latinx Law Student Association, Vice-President of the National Lawyers Guild, and Vice-Chair of the Mexican American Bar Association.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Young gained political experience by being a field organizer for a congressional campaign and interned for Congressman Pete Aguilar while attending the University of California, District of Colombia Program.
Ms. Young joined Olson Remcho as a post-bar law clerk in 2022. She is a member of the California Political Attorneys Association.
Ms. Young is a graduate of University of California, Irvine (B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and Pepperdine Caruso School of Law (J.D., Dean’s Excellence Scholarship). She was admitted to the California Bar in 2024.
