Emily A. Andrews is a founding partner of Olson Remcho. Previously, Ms. Andrews was a partner with Olson Hagel & Fishburn LLP, which merged with Remcho Johansen & Purcell in January 2020 to form Olson Remcho.  An expert in election and political law, Ms. Andrews’ practice includes advising nonprofit organizations, labor unions, candidates, individuals, businesses and others on compliance with state and federal campaign finance, election, lobbying disclosure, gift and other ethics-related laws.

In addition, Ms. Andrews has experience advising public officials on compliance with state and federal financial disclosure requirements including California’s Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests and the Federal Financial Disclosure Statement, successfully defending clients in enforcement actions with state and local ethics agencies including the Fair Political Practices Commission and the San Francisco Ethics Commission, and providing compliance trainings to clients.

In addition to advising clients, she serves as Lead Partner of the firm’s Compliance Reporting Unit.  She works closely with CRU leadership and team members to ensure Olson Remcho’s delivery of high quality and efficient compliance services.

Ms. Andrews is admitted to practice in California, and is a contributing author of the CEB publication Advising California Nonprofit Corporations, Third Edition.  In addition, Ms. Andrews is a member of the California Political Attorneys Association and chair of the organization’s Regulatory Committee, which regularly engages with the Fair Political Practices Commission and other regulatory bodies regarding items that impact the regulated community.

Ms. Andrews is a 2011 graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served on the U.S.F. Law Review Editorial Board as the Symposium Editor.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Andrews worked for a political consulting firm in Chicago organizing political fundraising events for local, state and national candidates.  Ms. Andrews earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication from Loyola University Chicago, where she graduated cum laude.
