Job Description:
Olson Remcho, LLP seeks law clerks for summer 2025 for Sacramento, Oakland and Long Beach offices. These law clerks will assist in the election, campaign finance, municipal, government, and administrative law practice areas.
Law clerks will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on matters relating to the upcoming statewide and local elections and advising local governments matters involving local services, operations, administration and regulation. Individuals with passion, drive, and initiative will thrive in this environment.
Clerks will primarily work on research and writing assignments. Clerks may also have the opportunity to attend court hearings and client meetings. Firm attorneys will assign various research and writing projects to clerks, encourage clerks to make valuable contributions to the overall goal of serving client needs, and provide regular feedback and guidance.
Desired Qualifications:
Applicants must be in their second year of law school. In addition to a strong academic background and excellent research and writing skills, applicants must exhibit initiative, flexibility, and a desire to learn. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed classes in constitutional law, political law, election law, municipal/local government law, or administrative law, and/or those who have demonstrated an interest in the firm’s specialties. Compliance Reporting Assistant
Olson Remcho, LLP, a leading California law firm practicing in the area of campaign finance and election law seeks a full-time Compliance Reporting Assistant in our Compliance Reporting Unit for its Sacramento office. The Compliance Reporting Assistant will provide accounting, reporting, and data entry support to the firm’s Compliance Reporting Unit, which delivers financial and compliance services to clients in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and math skills. We are seeking a candidate who can work both independently and as part of a team, and is motivated to achieve successes for our clients and the firm. Must have at least 2 years of professional work experience, and some college is preferred. A legal or accounting background, Excel knowledge and/or 10-key experience is a plus. Position will require overtime during predetermined reporting periods. Salary range $21 hr. -$26/hr.
